Here at The Stockwood Park Academy, we are very fortunate to have established, strong ongoing working relationships with many of our ex- students.
Many continue to support our school community and have joined our TSPA Alumni All Stars Programme.
Our Alumni, have assisted us by attending our annual careers fairs, offering insightful and inspirational presentations, bespoke workshops and by promoting great opportunities within their current organisations.
We are forever grateful for their time and energy and also wish to celebrate their many success stories.

JOSH
Josh‘s story ….
From Year 11 to the Advantage Schools' Sixth Form and then completing my Teaching Assistant apprenticeship through an initial introduction from school to Education and Sporting Futures, I've experienced significant personal growth. What started as a journey of building confidence and finding direction has transformed into a successful career. Through hands-on experience, I've developed key skills in communication, patience, and organisation, and gained a true passion for supporting students.
“My progress has shaped me into a skilled and confident professional”
I have continued to give back and have attended school recently and shared my journey with the current sixth formers.
Proud to be part of the TSPA Alumni All Stars programme.
......and TSPA is very proud of you and all you have accomplished!
Hamza
Hamza's story...
Last week, I returned to my old secondary school after two years of leaving and being an apprentice. If you’d told me back then I’d be standing in assembly as a professional, giving careers advice, I wouldn’t have believed it.
Truth is, I wasn’t exactly a model student but what I did have was determination and a drive to succeed, even if it showed itself a little differently back then.
A great opportunity presented itself through school and their partnership with Migrant Leaders and I was invited on a school trip to visit CBRE – a trip that changed everything!
I thoroughly enjoyed the day and took on board all the tips and advice I had been given and from the feedback I received it appeared I made a good impression.
Mrs Ojulah told me that CBRE were looking for apprentices – I liked the sound of this, so decided to go for It!
With support from school and family -I put my heart and soul into securing this apprenticeship and my efforts were rewarded.
Fast forward ….
Here I am back in school, its surreal seeing my teachers in the audience that inspired me, as I spoke to Year 11’s about CBRE ‘s apprenticeship opportunities. These were the same people who, despite some of my classroom antics, saw potential in me and supported my career choices.
My message was simple:
There are amazing opportunities out there that don’t require the traditional university route. At CBRE, our apprenticeship programme offers a chance to dive straight into a professional career while learning and earning.
Seeing the students’ genuine interest in apprenticeships reminded me of my own journey. If sharing my experience helps even one student find their path, then that’s what matters!!
