Promoting Kindness and Standing Against Bullying at The Stockwood Park Academy

At The Stockwood Park Academy, we are proud to foster a culture where kindness, respect, and inclusion are more than just words, they’re part of daily life. As an excellent high school in Luton, we believe every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported.
If you're a parent looking for a good school in Luton that puts student wellbeing first, we warmly invite you to visit and see our inclusive ethos in action.
A Whole-School Commitment to Wellbeing
Our anti-bullying approach focuses on more than just tackling harmful behaviour: it’s about creating a compassionate, respectful school environment. At this excellent Luton school, we involve students, staff, and families in building a community where positive relationships thrive and individual differences are celebrated.
We make it easy for students to report concerns and ensure that every report is followed up with care and seriousness. No issue is ever considered too small — every voice matters.
A Balanced Approach: Sanctions, Support, and Education
As a good school in Luton, we are clear in our expectations. Bullying is never tolerated. Our behaviour and anti-bullying policies set out firm consequences for unkind behaviour, but we also believe in the importance of education, reflection, and personalised support.
Students affected by bullying receive tailored care from our pastoral team, and those responsible are given space to reflect, learn, and grow through restorative practices.
Empowering Students: Anti-Bullying Ambassadors
We are especially proud of our trained Anti-Bullying Ambassadors — students who lead with empathy and help create a respectful, supportive atmosphere. They serve as role models and are essential in maintaining the culture of kindness that sets us apart as a good local school in Luton.
Learning Through Curriculum and Conversation
At The Stockwood Park Academy, anti-bullying is built into everyday school life:
- Assemblies and Tutor Time: Explore key topics like the difference between banter and bullying, and how to be an upstander.
- RSHCE Lessons: Teach students to form respectful relationships and respond to social challenges.
- Themed Campaigns: National events like Anti-Bullying Week are brought to life through student-led activities and school-wide events.
Trained Staff and Consistent Action
Every staff member is trained to handle reports of bullying with consistency and care. Every incident is recorded, reviewed, and followed up to ensure students feel safe and supported.
A Partnership with Parents and Carers
We believe that working closely with families is key to creating a kind, inclusive school culture. Through regular newsletters, parent engagement events, and open lines of communication, we ensure that parents are informed, involved, and empowered to support their child’s journey.
